The Woods | The Work

A Cabin for the Creative Life

There are seasons in life when you need quiet. Not silence exactly, but a different kind of sound. Water moving over rock. Wind shifting through trees. Your own thoughts returning to you, finally unhurried.

This is an invitation to spend time inside that kind of season. From May 11 through August 31, I am opening my cabin in the Chattahoochee National Forest to writers, artists, thinkers, and creatives of all kinds who are looking for space to work, to rest, to begin again, or to simply listen.

The Rhythm

This is not a retreat with a schedule. It is not structured, curated, or programmed. It is simply a place held open for you.

I will be in and out throughout the summer. If our time overlaps, I’d love to share a meal, a walk, or show you some of what makes this part of Georgia so special. If not, the space is yours to shape.

The Invitation

This space is for those who are working on something (or trying to begin). Those who crave solitude, but not isolation. Those who want to reconnect with their creative practice. Those whoFeel called to the woods.

All spaces on the property are yours to inhabit. The land invites you to use it. Fully.

Must love the woods.

Questions you probably have

Tree with red, yellow, and green leaves in fall, wooden house with a metal roof, and a wooded area in the background.
A view of a forested area with tall trees and green foliage. There is a wooden deck or platform with a chair and some construction materials, surrounded by trees and dense vegetation.
A wooden deck with a railing is surrounded by lush green trees and plants, with pink flowers in the foreground and a partly cloudy sky overhead.

What to do next

If this sounds like something you need, simply reach out with any questions you may have or to tell me which dates work best for you to come to the Chattahoochee.
